Oldy is a little astronomical navigation program which takes care of past mistakes, and which is got ridden of (I guess) bugs which i could have done before (sun and stars program). To write it I used the book of Jean Meeus (astronomical formules for calculators), which has the merit of considering the influence of Venus, the Moon and Mercury where my program (sun) only considered the equation of time and just the interaction Sun / Earth (Moon and the rest is forgotten), and which also provides the equations to obtain the ephemeris of the Moon fairly accurately.
For the stars part i have kept method steps i have found on free pdf in french (http://userpages.irap.omp.eu/~jleborgne/documents/astrometrie.pdf).
Later I'll add an another part using planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) because in Jean Meeus book, formulas provided are not so accurate for what we want, not enough. I will use instead the method VSOP87 (thank you very much for the info Olivier !).
To check oldy i have compared its results with exercices (http://navastro.free.fr/exos/mzi_2018.pdf), not too bad.
be careful:
-You must add a minus sign before if coordonates written are (reckoning) are south (degrees , minutes, and also seconds) and also west.
-If the program is stopped, you have to keep on eye on your screen down and right.. If you read "busy", it's still calculating, if it is labeled "pause", you just have to press "Enter" to go ahead !
leave me some suggestions (bullshits, errors, improvements ...) ! Bye !
PS: look at the download release dates, sometimes I make updates (errors to be corrected, improvements)
